Bestari supported Grab Indonesia by developing a comprehensive Sustainable Packaging Playbook, delivering training and mentoring for merchant partners, evaluating implementation through mystery shopper assessments, and mapping opportunities to scale sustainable packaging across the ecosystem.
Result
The project has now entered the second cycle with Sustainable Packaging Playbook has been launched and disseminated. In this cycle, Bestari supports Grab in implementation, where the Sustainable Packaging Playbook will be actively utilized to guide merchants in their transition. The focus lies on scaling up the Green Labeling and empowering merchants through coaching and training.
Faiz serves as Business and Operations Manager at Bestari Sustainability. An economist and urban planner, he brings over ten years of experience in feasibility studies, financial modelling, market research, and development planning. He has contributed to more than 20 master planning and feasibility projects across infrastructure, tourism, industrial, and urban development sectors, alongside capacity-building initiatives for water and climate resilience. His expertise combines economic analysis, project management, and stakeholder engagement to translate complex development challenges into practical strategies. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Urban and Regional Planning.
Hajrah has over nine years of experience in WASH and water resources consulting across the government, multilateral donor, and private sectors. She specializes in climate risk assessment, water utility performance, and programme management that drive measurable water security and sanitation outcomes. She holds a Master’s degree in Water Resources Engineering and Management from the University of Stuttgart, Germany.
Yenny has six years of experience in sustainability consulting across the hospitality and commercial sectors. She specializes in carbon accounting, net-zero roadmaps, waste management & resource efficiency programs that drive measurable environmental impact. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering from Universitas Indonesia.
Yanuar Sulistiono serves as Director of Bestari Sustainability, leading ESG, climate, and circular economy solutions. With over 15 years of experience across sustainability, operations excellence, and supply chain, he specializes in business transformation and strategic partnerships. He has held leadership roles in logistics and e-commerce, driving efficiency, risk management, and compliance. Yanuar holds an MBA from Jakarta University and a bachelor’s degree from Trisakti Institute of Transportation and Logistics.
Herlin works as policy research analyst assisting the Sustainable Packaging study and piloting program. She has been studying the plastic pollution issue for more than a year as part of Indonesia NPAP/WRI Indonesia and Bestari. Herlin’s interest is on public policy, environment, and human rights. She holds a degree in Law.
Tomi Haryadi is the Director for Food, Land, and Water Programme at World Resources Institute (WRI) Indonesia. With 20+ years of experience in environmental programs across Asia, including roles with international organizations, he brings strong expertise in program management, partnerships, and sustainable development. He holds degrees in Chemistry from the University of Indonesia and Environmental Planning and Management from IHE Delft, the Netherlands.
Anthony Utomo drives renewable energy initiatives at KADIN, advocating for policies that accelerate clean energy adoption and innovation. With leadership roles in the solar PV industry and as Managing Director of Utomodeck Group, he advances low-carbon solutions across manufacturing, mobility, and renewable project development while fostering international collaboration and sustainability.
Arief Wijaya is the Managing Director of WRI Indonesia with responsibilities to oversee programs in land use, climate, energy, cities, and oceans while advancing climate and forest initiatives. With expertise in forest landscape management, REDD+ MRV, and low-carbon development, he holds a PhD in Geoinformatics from TU Bergakademie Freiberg and an MSc from ITC Netherlands.
